In the folder Deleted messages are just a few messages. When I select
one, the content of the message is that of another very much older
message. After reindexing suddenly there are over 13000 messages in this
folder. Then I delete all of them. There are no messages in this
folder. I choose reindex again hoping this will end the problem, but no,
after 5 or 6 minutes there all 13000 messages are back again. I update
to the newest version of Pegasus Mail and repeat the actions. Reindex,
delete all, reindex and ... there all 13000 reappear again. Then I
delete about onethousand messages, reindex, and yes, indeed, all 13000
are still there. I give up and ask you for help.
Delete the folder, it will automatically be re-created when you next delete a message. FWIW, you should always force a compress when you delete everything in the folder so that your remove the messages from the data file as well as the index file.
