A Pmail user (V4.51 on Win XP) composed a new rich-text e-mail and clicked on 'Send'. Pegasus created the .101 file in the Mercury spool directory, and the e-mail was actually sent. However, the message composition window remained open with an hourglass cursor for several minutes. When the user moved the mouse, the hourglass cursor changed to a normal cursor and, from the user's point of view the email had not been sent, so she clicked on 'Send' again, and (of course) the same thing happened. Six times. I was the recipient of the email, so I checked her computer.
I saved the email, and (this being windows) rebooted the computer. I then opened the saved message and clicked on 'Send' again.Same behavior: .101 file was written into Mercury's queue directory, email was sent but compose window remained open.
I changed the message from rich-text to plain text, and this time the message was sent and the compose window closed. I have not been able to reproduce this since then. If it matters, the email she was sending contained lots of 'copy and paste' from web pages (about 100K worth). I do have the email as received, but I can forward that with no problems.
Anyone seen this?
