Pegasus Mail 4.52, Netware Fileserver with user mailboxes and Windows 7
Does someone know whether for the new mail folder an index file is used internally and the file name?
The "new mail folder" isn't actually a single file plus an index, it's just the total of all CNM files in the respective Pegasus Mail user's new mail directory the name of which is shown on the Help => About Pegasus Mail => Info screen ("New mailbox location").

Hello, we have difficulties with Pegasus Mail, Windows 7 and mailboxes at a Netware server.

If we access with Pegasus Mail 4.52 our home mailboxes by any Novell

Client for Windows 7 (64-bit), then the Pegasus folders becomes inconsistent after shifting or copying an email, i.e. the PMI files will be incorrect. Only a manuell "Reindex folder" corrects this. All Netware rights are present for the user.

If we access the same mailboxes with Windows 7 without a Netware Client

by a CIFS.NLM share on the Netware server, then

it works. The Netware Client 4.9 and Windows XP also works.

CIFS on Netware 5.1 is however problematic, so that we would access

rather directly with the Novell Client of Windows 7 the mailboxes.

Does someone have an idea, which the cause for it is?

The local cache buffers of the Netware Client were already switched off.

Best Regards, Torsten

It could have to do with the anti-virus Kaspersky 5.70 at our Netware servers.
If "on access scan" for "created or modified" is active, then dupes in the New Mail folder appear and the first of both will be with blank content.
