How to create templates that always have a table

Thanks, Sharkfin. 4.41 still works just fine for me. Glad to know that upgrading isn't necessary.

But I surely don't mind following complicated instructions once (or a few times, if necessary [:P]) to set up templates with a table. Once accomplished, I won't have to do it again.

I'd really love to have a reply template with a table, and to my knowledge, "stationery" just won't do that for me. If I'm mistaken about that, please let me know.

I would like to create message templates - for both new messages and replies - that always start with a 1x1-cell table already in them. The reason being is that I would like to always automatically limit the length of my lines even while using HTML and/or "rich text".

I've successfully done this for new messages by creating a saved "stationery", which works fine, but I don't see any way to use this stationery form in replies. I just have to manually create the table each time.

It's just my ignorance of programming and it's probably a simple thing to do, but could someone please walk me through this?

Sincere thanks!

Dave

PS: I still use 4.41. Would upgrading to 4.51 help in this regard?

Upgrading to 4.51 will not add any features to help with this request.

You may well be able to use the template editor to construct something like what you want, but it will not be as quick and simple as the "stationery" route.
