Transferring mail and accounts to a new Laptop

Thanks for the replies.

I'll look into it in a bit more detail later, but I might try copying all the folders to the 'data' partition of the HD and see how it goes.

 I'll post the results.

Cheers

 Dave

Afternoon all. I can't find an answer by searching, so please accept my apologies if the answer is already posted.

I use PM 4.41 on a PC running XP.

I have replaced the PC with a Laptop running Windows 7, (Home 64 bit version).

If I install the relevant version of PM on the laptop, can I transfer all the account details and emails from the old PC to the new laptop?

If so, what is the best way to do it?

Cheers

Dave,

on the old PC, find your PMail folder - often a folder under c:\.

There will be a sub-folder "Mail" there and under that one or more user folders.

Just copy the user folder(s) of choice to the equivalent location on the new laptop and you'll be good to go.

Additional issues to consider.
