Main Inbox columns missing

Within WinPMail see Help, Commandline options and note new -ms function. The change user menu item of 4.41 was removed in 4.51 and later because it caused problems for some users in some environmnets. The new multiple instances/usernames function replaces the function so no loss - just gains and minor configuration and shortcut(s) edits. Also note newer -roam entry if you do or may use USB portable devices with WinPMail.

Somehow I have changed something and I don't know how to put it back the way it was.

The columns in the main inbox now only show the "From" column which has become really wide and that short little column at the start with the ticks and envelope pictures. The "Subject" and "Date" columns no longer appear at all and I want them back.

Messages/GroupedView is set to None.

I have tried moving to the right most edge of the "From" column to try and resize it but it's not giving me the option. Have increased the window as big as can be, but still no option to resize the column smaller again. I don't know if I've turned off the other columns or made the "From" column too big. I don't know why it has changed.

If I change to a different User, then the columns all look correct as before so it must be a setting somewhere for this User I'm guessing.

I was running 4.41 when the problem arose and have since discovered that there is a newer version and have now upgraded to 4.52, however this particular problem of the missing Inbox columns remains.

Any ideas on what I can try?

Is there a setting that I am missing?

Can I use a configuration file from the other user to restore this one so the columns come back?

Forgot to include a screenshot.

Missing Inbox Folders

Or is it my horizontal scrollbar that I've lost?

This is how the columns appear for the other user and how they used to appear for the main user account also and how I want it to appear once more.

Correct Inbox Folder Columns

btw the option to change users has been removed from the File menu?

I seem to have to close Pegasus and reopen it now in order to change users. The File menu option in 4.41 was useful. Has it moved some place else or just been removed completely?

Similar problems may be fixed or diagnosed by, when winpmail is closed, renaming state.pmj file in the usernames home subdir to state.bak and then restart winpmail as that username. Default settings will be used on restart. If nessary to go back rename again (while closed).

Some custom settings way have to be reset to get things back to "normal".

I did check other posts here before posting, as well as the FAQ and tried to check the knowledgebase but the link the program gives me for the knowledgebase doesn't seem to work for me.

Help/TechnicalSupport/ThePegasusMailOnlineknowledgebase from inside Pegasus

http://kbase.pmail.gen.nz/

returns an "Bad Request (invalid hostname)" error for me.

Thank you very much Jerry Wise.

I renamed the state.pmj file to state.bak for that user, then started Pegasus again and all my columns are back.

EXCELLENT!

Some of the windows are different sizes and positions but otherwise I can't see anything else that has changed by going to default values.

I am so pleased and relieved :-)

Very much appreciate your assistance.

Thank you.

Use http://wiki.pmail.com/

Knowledgebase  is being merged with wiki and the link will be corrected with next release.  All content should be in wiki at this time.

Thank you again.

Will bookmark the link.

What about changing users?

Is it still possible to do so without closing and reopening Pegasus? There used to (4.41) be an option on the File menu to change user but it seems to no longer be there.
