That option refers to how the recipient's name is displayed in an e-mail. It is not currently possible to get the mail address shown where you want it. Perhaps the re-written address book (which may appear next year) will change this.

i want to show the email adresses directly in the adressbook list of the adress names etc.
is it possible to add the email column to the already existing Name,Index,Telefon column? 

edit: i have tried to use the option "show email instead of alias". but it has no effect. the option is broken?
