It's kinda confusing, it seems we're talking about two different problems despite both related to a delay issue.
The first problem is just about the window refresh in Pegasus. When I launch it since the New Mail folder is full with lot of messages, Pegasus seems to freeze for a while. The windows look even not completely drawn and just part of the interface is visible (the toolbar, scroll bars yes but not all the contents in the main window)
The other issue happens when I download the emails. Despite I wasn't actually talking about that, there's an issue with that behavior as well. The Selective Download doesn't help as Pegasus takes a while to examine the number of messages not read still on the server. Therefore either way downloading the messages from the server, when there are let's say something like 400 messages already read, takes a lot of time. It has something to do with the method Pegasus reads the messages on the server as this problem doesn't occur with any other client I've tried so far.
