SMTP and ComCast

Thanks idw,

I had previously played with different settings. I just tried to send again and the emails went out. I re-typed my password on the "Login in to the SMTP server using....". Either before I had the wrong password or Comcast took me off the black list.

I go thru this every year with them. I'll need to figure something out for next year.

Thanks for your help.

Steve

I am using Pegasus Mail to send out about 1500 emails for a convention. I sent 700 one night, then 2 nights later I tried to finish, but ComCast shut me down as a spammer which also shut down my Outlook. Talking with them about Outlook, I changed port from 25 to 587, and checked a box in Outlook that says: "use the same settings as my incoming mail server." This got my Outlook working, but I still can't get PM to send emails. I get message:    550 5.1.0 Authentication required.

What can I change in PM, besides the port number, to get PM to send emails?
Thanks,

Steve

Tools => Internet options => Sending => [your SMTP definition] => Security offers several options for authentication in the lower section.
