The message was successfully sent! But don't receive anything!!

That's the step before the core log entry. What we want to see now is what happened after that, when the message was processed by the module handling outgoing messages (MercuryE or MercuryC). Check configuration for the module for the path to the log file.

I'm using Mercury in XAMMP and when i send a email by Mercury Admin i have the follow error:

 15:25:21: processing job MO00650E
Resolved MX for 'bcn.cv' to 192.168.250.10
Connecting to 192.168.250.10
Connection error.

I'd read others posts and could try the replies but i don't know about "use" MercuryC instead MercuryE  "You may need to convert to MercuryC for sending if " in http://community.pmail.com/forums/thread/25660.aspx... can you explain or show me how can i do that??

My thanks!

1.  Open the Mercury GUI interface and use Configuration | Protocol modules and select MercuryC instead of MercuryE for sending the mail.

 2.  Close Mercury and restart.

3.   Use Configuration | MercuryC and enter the host name, port and any other required data to send via that host.

This is confusing... The MX for that domain is mail.bcn.cv, with IP address 195.8.2.30. 192.168.250.10 is part of the private IP range 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255 that can only be used locally (not routable over the Internet). So you need to find out why address resolution for this domain fails first, and then see if you need to use MercuryC instead of MercuryE.

As Thomas says, configure MercuryC using the SMTP server of your ISP.

Your direct connection with MercuryE may be refused by gmail and others because it doesn't have a reverse address, or is dynamic, or is on policy block list, or maybe some other reason.  MercuryC is the way to go!

Are you saying that bcn.cv is your domain, the one being served by Mercury? If so you need to check out the local domains part of core configuration and make sure it's listed properly there. Read the help text about this very carefully.

If you use Novell Netware "local host or server" has to be the correct hostname. If not you can enter anything here, for instance "mail". This section should then look something like this:

mail    hostname                             <---- hostname in Windows

mail   [192.168.250.10]                    <---- brackets are required

mail   [195.8.2.30]

mail   bcn.cv                                   <---- name of domain(s) served

mail   mail.bcn.cv                            <---- public name of the server

So the message has been received by Mercury. Check the log for the delivery module used (MercuryE or MercuryC) to see what happens next. Temporarily switch on session logging for that module if more details are needed.

This log shows two messages being received by MercuryS (the SMTP server module) from a sender on the same computer. If there is an account for mtavares@bcn.cv in Mercury the messages should have been delivered to the mailbox for that account. For a non-local domains MercuryE/MercuryC should have attempted to start remote delivery.

So first check the CORE log to find the corresponding entries. If it indicates that messages have been delivered locally, check the files in the mailbox folder. If it says it's non-local check the log for the delivery module that is used.
