Draft Message disappeared

Thanks, Aderoy - I will definetely adapt the backup storage time to a short interval ...I must confess, I never used Ctrl S when writing mails .. I always relied on the standard draft backup ... Nothing like the described loss happened before ... But obviously nobody else has an idea, whether the draft is gone now forever or where I could look it up --- Well, I guess, I have to start all over again & learn from that experience .. Thx all, tom

I wrote this really long mail, oh boy ... and then the computer crashed. After restart, I was shocked to see, that the draft message is obviously not in the draft folder anymore. (but there already was a saved draft, I'm sure ...) Does anybody know, what has happened? That never has been an issue before ... Or any idea, where to search for the file ? I searched in the indexed PMail (windows) folder with a special search tool (for unique keywords in the draft I can remember ..) but the search tool doesn't find the file. Is it really possible this file / draft vanished into thin air ..? Thanks, Tom

Dear Tom,

You can find the draft message with keystroke 'Ctrl + o'

Dear Tom, You can find the draft message with keystroke 'Ctrl + o'

Dear Phons, thanks taking the time, answering my question. Although it didn't help. I certainly know where the draft folder is. The problem, as described: within the draft folder I cannot find the message I was writing anymore, after the computer crash ...Pressing 'Ctrl + o' doesn't retrieve it ... The draft message seems to have disappeared, including any possible back-up versions in the folder before that ... ;-(

Just to be safe, doublecheck the menu Tools | Options | Outgoing Mail | Message Formating. Enter a value into the 'Automatically save message in progress every 'x' minutes.

Mine is set for 2 minutes and I will hit Ctrl-S if it is important every once in a while just in case.
