Pegasus 4.51 on windows 7 64 bit

i am having crashing issues on win 7 64 bit, speed isn't so much an issue

my mail box is on linux oes2 sp3, system is fast, crashed also on netware 6.5 oes2 sp8

thought maybe it was due to opportunistic file locking (file caching)

crashes ocasionally when i have created a message and not sent yet, fortunately messages are auto saved

I am having an interesting problem with Pegasus on Win 7 64 bit.  It usually takes a very long time to move messages from folder to folder or to delete messages.  The program does not respond for a while--sometimes up to a minute and more, and then continues working fine.  All buttons are there, sends and receives fine, just goes into a non responsive mode.

Any suggestions?

Would like to see output of Help, About, Info button display. Are you running from local drive, network location, a memory stick? Are you operating pop3 or IMAP? Are other file writes with other applications or win explorer also slow and having same symptoms? Any real time anti virus setup attempting to check all files written?

Good questions:

Am running it off our network drive (32 bit win 2003 network).  It is a pop3 connection.  However, the send receive is not slow, nor do any other applications have this problem.  Anti virus justs checks incoming mail as it is being downloaded and mail during sending--and I queue my mail, sending it in batches, and they go out fine.

In preview mode (three pane window)? Is your default printer for Pegasus Mail resp. Windows a network printer?

Another thing to check would be if there's an anti-virus running and scanning the POP3 connection.  This has been known to slow things down a bit.  Also, we have experienced numerous Windows 7 performance issues accessing files on the network, and I have found no single solution to take care of all of them.  Pegasus is affected a little bit, but Windows Explorer is affected a lot.  Hope this helps, and good luck!
