What I did was copy the MAIL, LOGS and SESSIONS folder over to the new installation directory, and just reconfigured everything manually (as there may be new settings in the newer version).

I have my mailbox in the previous version of MERCURY. I want to transfer the data files over the my new installation of the latest version of MERCURY. What files to I need to copy?

Just copy the entire contents of the mailbox folder.

Yes but he will loose all the Mercury setup (rules, alias and so on), imho it should be better to copy all the mercury and mail folders to the new computer, to change the path to the mail folder in mercury.ini, run it to check that all works fine and then to update it with a new version.

That would be my method too, but I took from the OP that he had already set up the new Merc and just wanted his mailbox moved.
