Make sure MercuryS is set to use strict relaying restrictions before removing.

So far it only works with Yahoo and other normal email providers, however i tried using "mynumber@vtext.com" (verizon wireless SMS server)and it keeps giving me connection error.

The connection is probably being rejected based on your IP.

You will probably need to switch to MercC and relay via your ISP's server or another SMTP smarthost.

Well the whole point of this is so that i can send from my computer directly... So i need to find a way to fix this

Get a static IP in a respectable range.

Turn on session logging in the MercuryE module and get the transaction detail. It should give you the reason for rejection. As DLN has said, it may be your IP address.

And what do you mean by "Get a new static IP" i have a static IP, and by in a trustworthy range you mean?

It looks like the connection is refused with a 554 permanent error even before the HELO stage, which means it's related to your IP address. Check that it's not listed in any DNS blacklists!

That said, you should anyway change the MercuryE greeting (Identify myself as) to something reasonable. It should be the fully qualified host name.

i checked a DNS list checker...

I found one DNS blacklister that has listed my IP as spam for some reason.

b.barracudacentral.org

that was the only one that had it from this page: http://www.dnsbl.info/dnsbl-database-check.php

is there a way to get it removed from that list?
