You're right, sorry, I didn't realize that. I always select a part of the message before replying, in order to remove extra signatures.

I noticed a problem when I receive an UTF-8 encoded message that contains apostrophes, sent by Microsoft Windows Live Mail.
For instance, I receive a message that contains the word:

J'ai

In raw view, it's encoded as:

 Content-Type: text/plain;
    charset="utf-8"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

J=E2=80=99ai

PM displays it properly.
But when I answer the message, and quote the original text, I get:

 > J™ai

whetever the charset I select for my messages.
PM seems to convert it to > J=E2=84=A2ai instead of keeping > J=E2=80=99ai

Does anyone know where it can come from, and how to prevent this?

I can't duplicate this with plain text, are you sure you're not quoting the HTML part that it most certainly contains? Can you please forward this message to beta-reports[at]pmail.gen.nz: Copy it to your new mail folder, then open Help => About Pegasus Mail => Info to check for the New mailbox location, right-click the message in Pegasus Mail's new mail folder and select Message properties which will display the filename (with a CNM extension) at its top, open the respective location in a Windows explorer window and then attach the located CNM file to a message to the above address, preferably zipped.

I just sent a file that highlights the problem.
