Changing Font Size for Sub-Folder Content

[quote user="lesdunford"]

There are four font sizes listed in pmail.ini, the defaults are:

Font to use in message reader             = Arial, 10, 0
Font to use in message editor              = Arial, 10, 0
Font to use in folder browser                = Arial, 14, 0
Font to use for printing                          = Arial, 10, 0

If you close Pegasus first then change
Font to use in folder browser  = Arial, 14, 0 to
Font to use in folder browser = Arial, 16, 0
Save the .ini file and restart Pegasus. You will find your message list displayed at a larger size. You may need to experiment to find a size you like.

If you have more than one identity set up there is a similar set of fonts for each one in the .ini file..

 Hope this helps,

Les, thanks for this. I think I will copy and save it for future reference. Thomas has already pushed me into seeing what I had thought I had seen ... but didn't! [:S] Now things are back to normal and I have been helped by the best. Thank you and the others for the tips.

I have just had some problem with my Pmail installation and am having a pretty poor time of fixing the problem. The font size labeling the sub-folders is very small. (It didn't use to be.) And I have been looking in the .INI file changing font sizes but the one I want to change hasn't been the right one. I am attaching a picture of the small font I am trying to change and have been unable to change. (I hope it attaches correctly.)

Any help or ideas are appreciated! Thanks.

Robert

Not sure what to tell you, the setting the font in a folder is the same no matter where the folder is located.  When the folder is opened you just select the font and size you want with the  blue "f" icon on the toolbar.  If this is in the preview mode there will be three different selections, one of which is the list of messages.

While viewing folder listing of messages do Folders, font or use the bit f button on toolbar. The item in the pmail.ini is the font to use in folder browser but better to use the GUI. I think that one uses MDI not  Pt so maybe Arial 16 or Arial 20 just to test might do it.

This is disappointing. I changed font sizes and types with the 'f' on the toolbar and/or the larger-smaller arrows on the other toolbar. Works great to change the message font but doesn't change the message title in the folder as shown above.

I changed "Arial 10" to "MS Sans Serif 16" but the change didn't remain. It went back to "arial 10" by itself. And still didn't affect the titles but the font in the message body itself. The text body will change accordingly but the title of the message (see above) remains tiny.

Any more ideas? This is perplexing. And thanks for the ideas.

I'm not at all sure what you are doing.  When I open a folder and look at the messages listed in the folder changing the font using the blue "f' icon changed the of the listed messages for me.

Thomas, once again you have made me think that my perception skills are gone! [:$] I am not sure what I was doing because after reading your reply I changed the 'f' settings (as I would have sworn I already had...) and it fixed the problem! The email titles in the sub-folders are now larger and back to normal.

Thank you (and the others) who posted help. I appreciate it.
