Syncing Pegasus on Multiple Computers

The simplest way would be to change your accounts to be via IMAP rather than POP, because then you are viewing the 'master' mail list on the server.

Or you could install Pegasus on a memory stick and then you're accessing only one storage area each time.

Of course, neither of these may be useful depending on your needs and situation.

Hi,

I've been through all of the Help Sections, and I haven't found what I'm looking for.  This forum is my last hope, and I'd be more than happy to make a donation--to show my appreciation--to Pegasus if I could get an answer to this problem.

In short, I have Pegasus on four (4) computers in my home.  Unfortunately for me, I am spending too much time deleting redundant emails on my various computers' Pegasus software.  My question is whether or not there is a practical method for syncing Pegasus on multiple computers so that I do not spend so much time deleting the same emails messages over and over again?  In essence, would it be possible for me to delete a message using Pegasus on any one of my four computers and subsequently have that email deleted, automatically, from my other three computers when Pegasus is opened on those computers?

Thank you, in advance, for your support, and I will make a donation regardless of whatever response I may or may not receive to this question.

By the way, I am using Windows 7 (64-bit) Professional on two of my computers (one laptop and one desktop), Vista (64-bit) Home Premium on a 2nd laptop, and XP (32-bit) Home Premium on a fourth computer (a desktop).

Thanks again,

Charles

And David certainly would appreciate the donation.

You need to be running the same program on all 4 computers, i.e. you need to network Pegasus Mail.  This is a basic setup for using Pegasus Mail on one system and running it from other systems as well.  This is setup for more than one user as well.

1.  Install WinPmail in the multiuser mode on the "server".  Use c:\pmail
for the program; c:\pmail\mail for the mail directories.

2.  Run PCONFIG.exe from the WinPMail program directory and change the HOME and
NEW mail directory specification to the \\server\vol\pmail\mail\~8
    format.

3.  Go to the remote workstations and install a shortcut to the common
    program.

Ok, now you have the basic mail system setup.  You can send mail to each other using Pegasus Mail.

You need to setup the POP3/IMAP4/SMTP using Tools | Internet options.
