Excuse my ignorance. I am using Pmail since 1994 and donated/bought the manuals couple of times. I am a fanatic user of pegasus mail. would never trade it for anyother program, i love the control it gives me and the tunning i can make to it. i love the fact that i can simply copy over my mail folder to another computer and i am ready to work on a laptop during a vactation with all my mail there and waiting for me, without the need to export - import hidden folders like in outlook

i cant figure a way to handle my various online identities from a single installation.  i want to be able to send email from different identities and d/l multiples pop3 s into a single installation. now that i found the forums i am asking it here, it is bugging me for over a decade and a half.... can it be done?

You can do it by setting different Identities (Tools / Identities).  I use 5 identitites which each have different email addresses and collect from different pop servers.  You can attach an identity to a folder so that all your replies to those messges will have the correct address.

You might also look at Autofiltering (Folders / Manage Autofilter) which can help with multiple identities.
