Bug? Toolbar view mode not retained

I have marked the work-around above as a solution, but I still think this is a bug.

Do I remember correctly that the same procedure is required for other changes to the child window? Like making column widths stick between sessions?

Cheers,

Erik

Using Pegasus 4.61 on Windows XP SP 3.

The child window toolbar can be switched between Graphics only/Graphics and text/Text only; however, the setting is not retained between sessions. The next time I start Pegasus it always reverts to Graphics and text. Is there a way to make it stick?

Or is it possible to remove the toolbar altogether? in my case that would be even better, because I am migrating to a 10" netbook and I want to reserve as much precious screen real estate for folders and email messages.

TIA,

Erik

I had the same problem. Perseverance and experimentation solved it.

Unfortunately when it did finally stick I wasn't sure how it had happened.

Try it in both list and preview modes to see if that does it.

Don't think you can remove it totally.

Got it working! Procedure with Pegasus in three-pane mode:

  1. Restore "Folders" child window by clicking gray double box icon, located second from very far right on main window toolbar
  2. Child window now becomes detached from main window and gets title bar and resize borders
  3. Select view mode for child window toolbar (Graphics only/Graphics and text/Text only)
  4. Close and restart Pegasus
  5. Maximize child window by clicking box icon, located second from very far right on child window title bar
  6. Done. The toolbar view mode is now retained between sessions

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, James!
