I have absolutely no idea what might cause this unique issue of yours. What happens if copying contents from a website or HTML file opened in Internet Explorer itself? If this works we could try using MiniDump for figuring some more details about this issue (using its Catch all option), but please don't do so without further instructions because it might otherwise cause your Pegasus Mail to heavily slow down due to writing lots of dump files.

I did a search on this site and perhaps I just don't know what terms to use, but is there a known bug where one can't copy text from an HTML message with IERenderer onto the clipboard?  Text messages copy to the clipboard fine and if I switch to the Raw View tab I can of course copy the text (along with HTML tags) onto the clipboard.  When I disable IERenderer (both 2.4.0.3 and then 2.4.5.5) only then am I able to copy text from the same HTML messages which won't when I have IERenderer enabled.  This is an XP.sp3 system with IE8 running Pegasus 4.61.

I don't see such an issue with the exact same setup, so there must be something special with your system: How do you create the copy, via keyboard or menu (which one, i.e. Edit menu or context (right-click) menu)? Does it affect special parts of HTML messages (such as hyperlinks, tables, images etc.) only?

I re-enabled IERenderer and selected a bit of text which in the underlying HTML is all within <pre> tag.  When I use CTRL+C it doesn't get copied.  When I right-mouse click and choose Copy it does not get copied.  When I click on the application's Edit/Copy menu item it does not get copied.  I then click on the Raw View tab and I am able to copy the same text using CTRL+C.  I tried it on a different random HTML e-mail message and selected a bit of text all within a <p> tag, but the same thing, no copy method gets the selected text onto the clipboard.  .

How do you find out there's nothing on the clipboard, by trying to paste it into what (Pegasus Mail editor or an external editor)? Or via clipboard viewer (from XP's Accessories menu group)? And if doing the latter, is the clipboard actually empty or does it contain a plain text version but no HTML or RTF version?

I first tried pasting to a new e-mail message, but then during subsequent testing, I tried pasting into Notetab Pro and also good old Windows notepad. The clipboard doesn't change at all, actually. So, for example, suppose I'm in some other app like notepad and copy "this is text" onto the clipboard and then paste it into some other app like Word; if I then try to copy something out of an HTML message in Pegasus 4.61, with IERenderer enabled, then paste into notepad, the prior "this is text" is still what gets pasted from the clipboard.
