How to stop URLs in Pegasus automatically switching screen to browser?

Funny, just this morning I was thinking, all over again, how really annoying I was finding precisely this behavior.  If I were a programmer, I might try to find a way to automate alt-tabbing back to the PMail message from the referenced web page.

So, adding my howevermany ¢/pence worth to this thread.  Hear, hear.

I often receive emails that contain many URLs, many of which are interesting. So I would like to either just left-click on interesting URLs (or right-click and then select "Open in Browser") and have all such URLs open up in my browser WITHOUT my being automatically taken from Pegasus to my browser (each time I open an URL).

I can't find anything in Pegasus's "Tools>Options" or in Firefox's "Tools>Options" to stop either Pegasus or Firefox forcing me to view a web-page when I click on an URL inside a Pegasus email.

The aim is to be able to read an email in Pegasus, from start to finish, opening various interesting URLs as I do so, WITHOUT being forced to immediately examine the associated web-pages.  I would prefer to view them AFTER I have completed reading the whole email.

Is there anything I can do to achieve this?

Many thanks.

I know exactly what you're talking about and I have implemented this in IERenderer: If holding down the CTRL key while clicking a link it will open the respective target page in the background, but IERenderer is only used for HTML messages. I already suggested to add this feature for plain text messages as well but for some unknown reason there was only a single test version exhibiting this in the current development cycle. I'll forward this request to David Harris (again) anyway, maybe it can help implementing it rather sooner than later ...
