Numerous messages filling new message folder

Are you using any Email Notifier Software like POPPeeper along with PMail?

I had encountered same issue when I tried to access my mail via PMail while POPPeeper was processing the same pop3 account.

I recently upgraded to 4.61 from 4.5x, and I'm intermittently seeing the same issue. it's rather annoying, because when these "phantom" messages appear, I have to switch folders then go back to new mail before I can click on most new emails.. It does not seem to have anything to do with fetching email, they just randomly appear.. Once I switch folders, and then come back, they are gone... They are counted in the total number though..

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but I had updated from 4.4-->4.5-->4.61-->4.62 when this started to happen. In order to resolve that (and the instabilities of all of the versions), I wound up installing 4.62 as a new version, and copying my emails over to the new folder. There were several messages in the old mail folder that could not be accessed to copy over (they did not appear to be locked by the file properties). The system(4.62) seems to be stable and not displaying this "iiiiiiiiiiii" problem.

So, perhaps the resolution to some of the issues that people are having is to do a new install instead of upgrading?
