Spamhalter Message

Michael:

We are now in good shape as it is gone. I'm guessing I did not fully delete words4.db3 because when I went back into the mail folder it was there and I was asking myself why is that there when I thought  I deleted it. Think it went to recycle bin but I didn't completely remove from the computer. It is gone now and you were certainly correct when saying "Deleting "words4.db3" usually fixes such an issue."

Anyway it is gone and once again I appreciate the help

LOL...I will try not to bother you people for a while

Don't want everyone to be alarmed when they see my name but I had another question I was going to ask

but that configuration issue was a priority...this one may be very simple.

Every time I open  Pegasus to read the mail therre is a msg popping up on Spamhalter.

"spamhalter cannot initialize database. Tells me Bayesian filtering cannot be used until you fix or delete

your database." Since I don't use it at this time how can I remove that message.". I am using v4.62

but never had it until I updated

Thanks as Always.

If you are not using Spamhalter you can turn it off via Tools | Spam & content controls | Spamhalter.

If you are not using Spamhalter you can turn it off via Tools | Spam & content controls | Spamhalter.

This may not suppress the message but give it a try - if the Spamhalter entry is there at all (the error might prevent it from being properly loaded): The database file is "words4.db3" in the active user's mailbox directory.

If the Spamhalter entry is present and turning it off does not remove the message you could try deleting the database file.

With Pegsus closed navigate to your home mailbox and delete "words4.db3".

It will be recreated when you restart Pegasus.

I did delete words4.db but would you believe it still shows up? The showing message does mention this folder.and also mentions a white4.db3 but I cannot find that file at all

How many Pegasus Mail users do you have set up? Maybe you deleted the wrong one of a wrong user? The home and new mailbox paths are shown on Pegasus Mail's Help => About Pegasus Mail => Info screen.

Michael: I don't even use that spamhalter or even activated it at this time. I never went through the process

just want to rid the message appearing every time I open Pegasus. It comes over the big Blue Pegasus Logo

As you can see it doesn't matter whether you did or not, so can you please check again

and answer my questions (it might help in fixing this issue)? Deleting "words4.db3" usually fixes such an issue, so we wonder what's going wrong on your machine? To prevent Pegasus Mail from loading Spamhalter you may delete (or rename) "wi_sph.dll" in Pegasus Mail's program directory.
