ABC Amber key file registration
Thanks Caisson - tried that but it never worked so I guess it should either be done in another way under Win 7 or will not work under that environment. Hence my posting in this forum hoping that there might be other devoted Pegasus users also using this program!
Just another suggestion: have a look at the FAQ at processtext. Did you download a newer version? Was it the demoversion? Than that's of interest for you:

Don't use the public link (it's always a demo version), use only the link for registered users (see a registration email)

Hi!

I have many for many years used a program called ABC Amber Pegasus PDF converter together with Pegasus which converts Pegasus folders to pdf-files.
The program is pretty old old and I got it as one setup file and one ".key"-file.

I have installed the program but I cannot figure out how to unlock the trial version by installing the ".key"-file.

Anyone who can advice?

I really need to get it to work. I have a Win 7 computer,

You are probably asking the question in the wrong place.  I would suspect asking the question at http://www.processtext.com/abcpegas.html would result is a quicker answer.  ;-)

What's about contacting "ProcessText Group" and may be reading their FAQ first. There are some hints on your problem.

Is your old version capable running on Win7?

Have a nice chrismas

Advice to users of the unrestricted program is to save the key file to the same directory as the installation and double click on the key file name to install to the registry.

I assume that there are no right click options available. Which Win 7?  If its 64-bit it probably won't work.

What about using Admin rights (if the .key file tries to modify the Registry), i.e. launch RegEdit with Admin rights and import the (assumed) key file? Like I said in the other thread: More details about what exactly fails (any error messages?) would be really helpful ...
