Can't add new folder (ver 4.62)

YES! That did it. Thank you so much.

I am migrating from an old XP Pro computer to a new, Win 7 Pro 64-bit, one; and, have had to learn a lot about preserving configurations.

When I try to add a new folder using either "Add" from main screen nothing seems to happen & I am unable to use any controls. I can then press "Esc" to regain control.

And, when I a message in the main screen & click "New"  the activity indicator runs seemingly indefinitely & the new folder dialog is not brought up.

Is this a new install or first time  used on a new machine? Have you exited and checked that no other instances are running and the tried again after a restart of winpm-32?

What does your Help, About, Info button display look like on this machine now?

Although I don't understand exactly what the main screen or the

activity indicator

is and what you're exactly doing (due to obviously missing words) I guess the dialog you're looking for pops up somewhere outside of your display. The coordinates of the dialog seem to be stored in a file called STATE.PMJ in your mailbox directory (Help => About Pegasus Mail => Info => New mailbox location) in a section called [NAMERF] at DEFAULT=...... If you load this file into a simple text editor like NotePad you may delete this line and Pegasus Mail should restore some default values when reopening the dialog.

My apologies for a somewhat incoherent message. In spite of its shortcomings, you deduced my problem. Your suggestion was the solution.

However, the many filing trays I previously created are now gone.

Trays are stored in HIERARCH.PM (and FOLSTATE.PM) and I tested my suggestion without loosing any trays ...?
