Rather poor email program compared to Outlook Express

I was looking for a replacement for Outlook Express that would replace LiveMail under Win7 and hoped Pegasus would be it. But overall Pegasus is not a very good email program. You can only have one main email source as From on your outgoing emails. With OE, I can select which email address (I have 12) I want for the From. And with Pegasus, I cannot select which email address to receive mail as I can with OE. There is no easy way to transfer settings from LiveMail or OE to Pegasus (such as SSL, etc). I am deleting Pegasus and will continue to look for an OE replacement.

Yes, I know you can run WinXP mode under Win7 but requires Win7 Pro at an additional $70 cost. I have tried VMWare Player but it cannot make and internet connection and no help from VMWare.

Well, first of all different email applications are different since that's why they exist at all, otherwise there would be no need for them. Aside from this Pegasus Mail provides a feature called identities which allows you to achieve what you are looking for and maybe even more.

Can you elaborate on why you believe this would be required for running Pegasus Mail? There are lots of Windows 7 users successfully running Pegasus Mail without the need for any special environment (options).

yes, it sounds as though you should find a way to stick with OE. Anything new/different seems to be too much of a challenge for you.
