PMAIL running on an SSD

I've been running Windows 7 Ultimate on an SSD (Corsair Force-3 120GB) for a few months.  Everything is dramatically faster except Pegasus Mail 4.63, which seems to run at the same speed when the mailboxes are on my SSD vs. when they're on my SATA "D" drive (in the latter case, I use a directory junction so it still looks like it's on my "C" drive).

I have about 200 messages in my inbox, and a host of large message folders -- many with 5000 or so messages.  The biggest slowdown is when I move an inbox message to a large folder -- it takes much longer than I would expect on the SSD; about the same amount of time as a hard drive. It also takes just as long to open the folder and scan those 200 files.

Has anyone else noticed this?  I wonder if PMAIL is accessing the mailbox files in some way that's just not SSD-friendly -- like copying the entire file to append a message or performing random rewrites throughout the file while adding a new message.  My understanding is that SSDs have to write 64kB in a new location even when only one byte is changed in a block, while hard drives can write 512 byte (or 4096 bytes on advanced format drives).

I expected a big performance improvement with PMAIL (one reason that I got the SSD), but I'm just not seeing it, while everything else seems to load nearly instantly.  Is anyone else seeing a benefit?
