Unable to uninstall HTML renderer

Find file IERenderer.fff in the Pegasus Mail executables directory (ie c:\pmail)  Rename the file, for example as IERenderer.ffx. Then Restart Pegasus Mail. The button for IERenderer will be gone on the toolbar.  To reinstate IERenderer at a later time, just rename IERenderer.ffx back to IERenderer.fff and then restart Pegasus Mail.

I just installed Pegasus Mail but elected to uninstall it shortly thereafter. However, I'm unable to uninstall the HTML Renderer via my control panel.

Keep getting the message: "setup has indicated that pegasus mail is currently running" although in the Task Manager there are no applications or processes I can easily identify as such. Tried a restart, tried uninstalling & reinstalling the main application, nothing allows me to uninstall this renderer. I'm running Windows 7. Would very much appreciate a solution. Thanks.

You will be looking for "winpm-32.exe" in Processes if Pegasus Mail is running.

Cheers

Remove the html renderer first and then remove Pegasus Mail. It must be in that order. If you can't remove renderer then reinstall Pegasus Mail and remove the renderer and then remove the html renderer.

"Winpm-32.exe" was not running.

And Jerry, reinstalling Pegasus Mail still did not enable me to uninstall the HTML renderer. Even if it did, that's just bad coding & somewhat irresponsible of the developer. I ended up manually deleting the directory, then going into my registry to delete the corresponding entry. Not impressed.

Sorry, should have been fixed for the latest Pegasus Mail release, I've done so now: Reinstalling Pegasus Mail would only work if you launched it at least once for creating its proper Registry entries providing the paths to the relevant directories.

I have the same problem.  I installed Pegasus Mail on a Windows 7 machine.  I tried to launch the program but it would not start.  So I proceeded to uninstall it and was not able to uninstall the html renderer.  After reading this thread, I reinstalled Pegasus and tried to uninstall the html renderer first but it still would not uninstall, saying that the program was already running (It has never run).  So I am stuck.  The program won't run and it won't uninstall.
