Unable to launch Pegasus Mail 4.63

I've just installed Pmail 4.63 on a Windows 7 system. The install completed normally. When I attempt to launch it, the splash screen appears briefly, then disappears, then nothing. I've tried re-installing, re-booting, etc but always get the same result. Would be really grateful for some help please.
