Hello all,
I have used Pegasus mail for many years now, upgrading from dos versions to the first windows version and now to the latest 4.63 running on Windows 7 (32 bit). It's always been stable, but since installing v. 4.63 (keeping all the original settings) it occasionally (about once or twice a week) fails to download new messages from the server. Not when I start Pegasus Mail, not when I open the new mail folder, not when I click on the "Check your POP3 host for new mail" button. Normally, when downloading new mail, the status bar at left bottom corner changes from: "Press <f1> for help" to "Connecting to pop3.paradise.net.nz" to "Getting message list" and back again to "Press <f1> for help". At the times when downloading fails, the "Press <f1> for help" message in the status bar flashes once and is then back up again immediately. Restarting Pegasus Mail doesn't help, logging off and back on into Windows doesn't help, even rebooting the computer (laptop) doesn't help (immediately). Switching the computer off for 24 hrs seems to be the only remedy. My wife still runs an earlier version of Pegasus mail (on a different laptop, but also under Windows 7), through the same wireless router to the same mail server, but doesn't experience the problem. Has anyone experienced the same problem and figured out how to fix it?
