forwarding one particular message crashes PMail
Have zipped the offending .CNM file and sent it to Michael.
I can at least duplicate the issue now, unfortunately this looks like a HTS/TER crash which cannot be fixed "on the fly" - but it's very good to have a sample message for duplicating it since I've seen similar crash dumps before without getting a sample culprit. David Harris will need to look into it, so thanks a lot for providing the sample message!

Hi

I'm trying to forward an old message, an airline booking confirmation, to a conference organiser.  Every time I click the Forward button, Windows 7 closes Pegasus and automatically restarts it (so I have to click through the "mailbox in use" warning).

Relevant info:  Pegasus 4.63 with IERenderer 2.4.7.2, Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64-bit, everything fully patched (except BearHTML, whose recent upgrade I haven't worried about).  Message is in an IMAP mailbox.

Have now repeated the crash inside PMDebug and have sent off the crash report, but I wondered whether the offline pictures in the forwarded message might be responsible.  I also wondered, once you have enabled viewing of "lazy HTML" pictures in a particular message, whether it was possible to withdraw that permission.

Thanks for any clues

David

Is it possible for you to move this message to the new mail folder then zip up the resulting *.CNM file and forward it to me for analysis?

You might try upgrading BearHTML or switching to IERenderer to see what happens.

Michael in der Wiesche will handle this.

Once the graphics are downloaded they are cached and Pegasus Mail reads the cache to display the graphics.

Got it, will look into it later today.

And the cache can be cleared via IER menu or keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Y.

Have zipped the offending .CNM file and sent it to Michael.  I can at least confirm that the downloaded graphics are not responsible for the crash, as a different PMail installation on another computer also crashed when trying to forward this file from its original IMAP location.  On that computer the graphics had not previously been downloaded.  I can also confirm that disabling IERenderer (and with BearHTML updated to latest) has not solved the problem.  I should also have made clear that the forwarding method I have been choosing is "Edit or make changes ...".  Forward without editing = Bounce is fine.
