I've set myself up twice, need to remove duplicate

Thanks also, but I've only got the one "user" which is indeed Admin and one "identity" which is Default. I did have 2 "hosts" though and have deleted one of them so I should be sorted now. Seems a lttle over-complicated for those of us who just want to keep it nice and simple. This applies to most things these days. When it was just video recorders and car radios that you couldn't get to work, I thought I knew who was behind it. Now I'm not so sure.

Just started with Pegasus e-mail and found a screen for setting up my POP and SMTP details. Then I came across the set-up wizard and gave that a try too. Result? I am now set up twice and receive 2 copies of every incoming e-mail. I may also be sending 2 copies of every outgoing e-mail but cannot be sure. I have searched through as many help screens as time allows but nowhere do I see how to remove my extra self. Can someone help please?

Go to Tools>Internet Options.  There you will see tabs where your POP3 and SMTP hosts are selected.  If you see two listed you can simply remove one of them.  This won't delete the host it will only tell Pegasus not to use it.

To see the list of configured POP3 or SMTP hosts click the Add button while in the appropriate tab.  A window will open listing all configured hosts.  In here is where you can create, edit or remove hosts.  These setting are identity specific so if you have multiple identities you will need to do this as each identity.

The fact that you are receiving two copies  indicates one of the hosts  is not

configured to delete mail from the server.  This may be intentional on your part but

you may wish check the settings for retrieving mail to make sure everything is as you want it.  To find those setting select the POP3 host entry you wish to configure then click the Edit button.  This will open a window containing three tabs where you can tweak the mail retrieval process for that POP3 host.

Go to top toolbar and Addresses, User management and look to see if only one or two users are being shown?

When you do Help menu, About, Info button what do you see now? Does it show the user as Admin or something else?

When you do toolbar Tools menu and Identities item do you see none, one or two listed now?

Thanks indeed bfluet, I do see 2 hosts listed - 1 looks as though I entered it, the other is just an abbreviated part of my e-mail address, which I guess would come from the set-up wizard. Not sure which to delete but it probably doesn't matter as they both seem to be working. Re identities, I have no real idea what these are about and I only have the one which is "Default". You are also right about one of the hosts not being set up to delete mail on the server - that is the one coming from the set-up wizard. I will delete this one and that should cover it. Many thanks, very helpful.
