Ha, perfect, thanks!

Using PM4, everything cool except I no longer wish to check gmail. I cannot find any instruction to check gmail in any window, even using the ID I'm trying to turn off for POP3. I've checked every box I can think of--including don't check this ID when checking multiple IDs. I've also tried maxing out the mail-check interval. Nothing changes; anytime I hit retrieve mail, gmail is checked.. It's an issue because POP3 stopped working with that gmail account, so now it hangs my mail check for other IDs every time. I do NOT want to kill the ID, only the POP3 check. Any help appreciated!

Try Tools, Internet options, Receiving tab and select the GMAIL profile and Delete.

Thanks, but here's the thing: When I look there, it doesn't show the gmail address. Instead, it shows my own websites pop address--which is also used by my other email IDs. So I really don;t want to delete that for fear it will wipe out everything. Why it shows that address and not gmail, I do not know. I do know that the error message is coming from gmail, though. No clue what's going on here...

 When the mail check itself happens, it says "connecting to pop.gmail.com"

I might settle for finding out where the gmail pw is specified and changing it, but since I can't find any reference in the PM ID to gmail, I can't do that either.

Since it didn't work the easy way using the provided GUI then you will have to do it the hard way. Close winpm-32 and go to win explorer (file manager) and to your home mail box location under \pmail\mail\admin (or your user name). Use Notepad to open the pop*.pnd files and find the one that has the GMail server download information in it and rename the file to .bak extension. Then restart winpm-32 and test again. There should not be any download from the GMAIL server.
