How to change the FONT of Message Body....

To tell if you are running Bearhtml to render html messages, open a message and key in Shift + F1.  Bearhtml help will be displayed, and the version will show on the Pegasus Mail status line for a short period. keying in Shift F1 again will return to message display. Bearhtml Help lists a number of ways to increase font size, but only if the font size is not coded in the html.

Someone PLEASE help me.  The fonts of my email texts are too small for me to read anymore, but I can't find a way to change the font on the Message Body (text) on incoming messages.  When I use the Change font on incoming mail, it changes the size of the message HEADER.  I am using Peggie under WinXP sp3.  This is beginning to drive me crazy, as well as making Peggie unusuable.  There has got to be a way to fix this.

Please HELP.

When looking at a message, click on menu: Reader  then select Font... and change size as you want it. Setting is remembered for all messages.

I read that before and I'm really confused...

When I try that, the only font that is changed for me is the font of the message's HEADER!  Do I have some corruption somewhere???? What should I do now?

I really do need some help because I'm getting emails that I just cannot read.

Please send me a copy of the problem message, to irelam@telus.net

With the problem message open, click on menu Raw View, and key in Cntl S to select all the message Data.

Then Cntl C to copy to Clipboard.

Then open Notepad or equivalent product, and Paste in the clipboard content,

Save the file

Mail that file as an attachment to me.

I have no idea what the code is that you sent me, but Pegasus Mail does not allow executable code to be executed when trying to view a message.

Changing the font setting only changes the body for plain text messages.  In HTML messages the font size is controlled by the HTML code not by Pegasus.

I assume the problem is with HTML messages so wonder if you have any difficulties with font size in other apps?  Maybe not the font in a document but perhaps toolbar icons and menu text are really small?  If so consider reducing the display resolution or utilizing zoom controls or a magnification utility.

Also, do you know that you can open HTML messages in a web browser where you can utilize the browser zoom controls (key combinations Crtl+ and Ctrtl-)?  If you do this remain respectful of the risks of HTML messages and remote graphics by only opening messages in a browser that you are confident are safe.  Pegasus will warn you of this by default but the warning can be disabled.

I am way off base on my statement that Pegasus can't control the display font size of HTML messages.   Advise off forum and further testing confirms that there are other methods of increasing the font size.  Some methods are dependent on which HTML renderer is being used but Ctrl + PageUp and Ctrl+PageDown should work regardless of whether using IERenderer or BearHTML.  Also, in the configuration of IERenderer there is a place to set a zoom factor.
