Alert from Google doc crashes Pegasus.

Martin forwarded your problem message to me and I did some testing with IERenderer: It turns out that it takes extremely long in rendering this message, and trying to display it in IE itself shows the same delay (as well as Opera, Firefox doesn't do so). The culprit is the broken kind of image URLs used in this message (starting with a double slash) which needs to be fixed by whoever creates these messages in the first place. I've implemented a workaround (still failing to display the images, though) for now but this shouldn't be the final solution since we can only make guesses about what the originator wanted to code, and I'm not willing to double-guess for security reasons ...

Pegasus crashes when I try to read or open a mail that is sent from the Google doc. The e-mail is a message that says that there is added new comments to a dokumenet. I run Pegasus ver. 4.63 b 325, ierender ver. 2.4.7.4. and Win7-64. Anyone know how this can be fixed.

I assume you are talking about minidump. I installed it and started it, run Pegasus and got it to crash, but I get no report. I have read the read me file and see that I should get "a reminder about an" auto-saved "message that you can edit and send." when I start Pegasus. I get no such report / mail / reminder. I have tried this several times.

The error occurs when I try to preveiw an email from Google about new comments added to a doc.

Try again in MiniDump's "stand-alone" mode (also described in the ReadMe file): If you installed it with Start menu entries you would need to launch it via the Pegasus Mail Debugger entry.

I know you are using IERenderer but could you forward me a copy of the Alert so I can see if Bearhtml manages it either. My email is irelam@telus.net

Thanks

The only report I am able to present a snapshot report. I've added info as requested and sent it over to you / you.
I once tried to leave open the google mailer and see that Pegasus does not crash, but hangs. The program responds again after 1/2 to 1 hour :-)

Sorry to be a trouble but I need the message unchanged from when you received it. Please follow the following steps.

1, Copy the bad message back to the NewMail folder

2. Compose a new message to me at irelam@telus.net

3. In the Newmail directory listing, select the bad message and drag it to the new message (point 2), and drop it on the new message body area.

4. You will be prompted to handle the file just dropped as an attachment. reply Yes

5 Click Send on the new message.

Thank you

Hello.   I got the file but it is rather mixed up. Could you please try sending the original Gmail message to me as a "Forward with no editing" (a message bounce to irelam@telus.net). I will then forward it on to Michael, if IERenderer is involved with this problem in some way

Thank you
