Lost file structure

Thanks for the response caisson.  I think that Irelam may have the answer.  I'll try.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions on this problem.  Last weekend my PMail program

started acting strangely ... it crashed on opening.  Then when I tried

to re-open it gave me the preview disabled message.

I tried some tinkering with the admin files and now my saved file structure seems to have disappeared

and been replaced by an alphabetic display of (old) files.

Any idea what could be happening or a possible fix?

Many thanks in advance.

Ron

To re-enable Preview mode you need to to go to Folders | Preview mode.

What "admin" files did you tinker with?

It sounds like you either lost or "tinkered" with Hierarchy.pm. You might try renaming the existing Hierarchy.pm to something else (ie Hierarchy.px). Then restart Pegasus Mail.  All your folders should reappear, but if you use Trays as well as folders, you will have to recreate your trays, then drag & drop the folders into your trays.

Martin, thanks.  Very helpful.  I'll give it a try.
