REALLY? gee maybe thats why i dont have outgoing mail, i have tried their settings and connected to a telnet server on port 25 also,  so i am a bit confused  apparently i am posting in the wrong section from what another user told me, didnt realize there was a difference between pmail and mercury.
You've certainly confused me.

If you have a problem with Mercury transfer your post to that section.

Ive installed the mail server, and outgoing mail works just fine, but my ISP blocks port 25. now i have changed it to the ports they recomend but still no incomming mail, which leads me to my second question. i found where to send mail, but where do i go to see incomming mail? i know it sounds silly but i cant find it!

thanks in advance

Not sure what you mean by "installed the mail server". Presumably you are referring to server definitions, both of which are under Tools | Internet options (POP3 and SMTP)

also using this "telnet mail.hmailserver.com 25" at the command prompt i was able to connect, so i am begining to wonder if port 25 is blocked

What server setting were given to you by your provider?

What server setting were given to you by your provider?

are you reading my posts? the provider stated that they block port 25 and that i should use (recomended)

incomming mail server name                           mail.comcast.net

incomming mail server-port #                           995 (pop3)

outgoing mail server name                              smtp.comcast.net

outgoing mail server port #                              465 (smtp)

ssl encryption                                                   checked

I thought i made it clear, i had outgoing mail working, it was inbound i was having trouble with, and that they state they block port 25, but when i connected a telnet sesson ON PORT 25

it seemed a moot point. and my second question was where in the program is the incoming mail found? (IT MIGHT ACTUALLY BE WORKING) honestly i dont think i can make it any clearer, if you cant or WONT help then dont POST!

Incoming mail received is stored in the new mail location as shown in Help, About, Info button output. Normal default is c:\pmail\mail\admin location and is written to drive as *.cnm files until moved, stored or deleted from New Mail folder.

To see exactly what is or is  not arriving use Tools, Internet options, General and down near bottom check Internet session block. Then all will be written to Pop*.wpm files on drive in your home mail box location which should be c:\pmail\maiil\admin by default. You can open those files in Notepad for inspection. Don't forget to turn the logging off after your test.
