Mercury is crashing again

If you can find some kind of pattern behind the crashes we will be happy to investigate it. If we saw that behavior ourselves we would of course already have done so. As you probably realize there is no way to add more logging everywhere.

Generally speaking Mercury will not approve if some other process interferes with disk access or network access, so this is why we recommend that any realtime antivirus software should be switched off. If there are a lot of content control rules you could try deactivating them to see if that makes any difference.

I had hoped that the crashing was behind us with the last version update. Even happily made a contribution, but it is not so. The crashes are random and are sometime frequent (every couple of days) and other times less so ( a couple of weeks). Reloading the program frequently does not seem to help. Am using clam Wall as someone thought Norton was to blame, not so.

Could be driven buy something in the received messages. In any case, I am at my witts end and back to looking for another mail server. Anyone have suggestions for a reliable mail server?

In the mean time, it would be nice to add more exeception handlers to Mercury to possibly catch whatever it is or to display some clues. I rather Like Mercury due to the excellent visibility it provides to what is happening. Obviously it needs just a bit more visibility.
