Dreadfully Slow? Just started

My goodness. Such an easy fix for a problem I've been having for a very long time. Several factors have been moving me away from Pegasus and this was one of them. Unfortunately, changing the Windows Default Printer may not be an easy thing to get used to. I'll try it for awhile and see if it works out.

I don't remember when I first experienced the "extremely slow Pegasus" problem but it has been at least two years, and very frustrating to say the least.

Thanks,
Ken Long

Iuse Windows 7 and Pegasus 4.63.

4.63 was working fine, but I must have changed a setting? Sending mail screen takes a minute to load, sending mail takes a minute, and every process is real slow. What happened?

Think I found problem, thanks to another post. If Pegasus does not like your default Printer, it runs real slow. I simply changed default printers, and all is well!

I was going to tell you that. Glad you found the culprit all by yourself. Anyway, and just to add to your findings, another cause for slowness can be LAN (remote) printers. You can overcome this by using a local virtual printer (like a PDF printer driver) as default, and the remote printer for real printing jobs.
