Copies to self messages only show on search

Recent copies to self replies are not listed in my Copies to Self folder, HOWEVER... if I do a search within that folder by date, from, RE:, etc they show up and are listed as being in that folder. Tried everything I know to get them to show without a search without any luck. Very strange. Suggestions!
