Pegasus very slow on Win 7

Do you have Tools => Options => Advanced settings => Load Windows Internet Services set to Always? You should, and restart Pegasus Mail afterwards.

I have installed Pegasus on my Toshiba Satellite with Win7 64 bit. I have used Pegasus for years with no trouble at all. Now, whatever I do with Pegasus takes an incredibly long time. For example, when I click on reply it can take several minutes before a screen shows up where I can write a reply. A send takes just as long. Similarly, I cannot find how to put my prior address books and distribution files in from prior computers.

Is there anything special I should be doing with win7? I know have Pegasus installed on Vista and winxp with no problems.

I am using Pegasus 4.63 win32

Pegasus is known to be extremely slow if there is no default printer (Pegusus uses the printer fonts).  If there is no default printer configured on the machine add one.  I believe a generic text printer is sufficient.

Old Adressbooks: simply copy the pair of adressbookfiles PM!/PMR from your mailboxdiretory in your old installation to your mailboxdirectory in the new installation.
I do have a default printer. That doesn't help.
Is it actually reachable and is it actually turned on? Is the printer driver actually also on your drive of your machine or is it only available across a hard connection or a WIFI connection?

Many printers install two times and one is for local use and another for use across connection of some type and so the local apparently is enough to satisfy Ter32.  Which is selected as you default  printer? This is especially import if you have portable machine that moves and also may even operate while off site and when no connection at all available when you wish to start and use winpm-32.

Usually I only use Pegasus when I am home. The default printer is on the network connected to a desk top that is always on.
