I'll have to find a way round it since Mercury is good for what I want to do.

Maybe a longer username is something for the future !!

I can see how to modify the mercuryd.dll to increase the box size for input of the username for the Mercury D POP3 mailbox definition.

There seems to be a limit to the number of characters which are saved after input of the username.

I need to use a username of approx 70 characters in length, does anyone know if there's an .ini or .dll parameter I can change to accomplish this ??

There is indeed a length limit for the username (around 48 characters I think), and this is hard coded so I'm afraid there is not setting to change it. For long hostnames there is a work-around (replacing the hostname with the IP address), but not for username or password.
