sent mail gives a mail delivery failure message but still sends message

I only have one identity. It is labeled "default".  It has always been that way. 

I am going to add the errors I get from Pegasus and in the returned email below.  I do not know if they will help but I figure it can't hurt.  Bobbie

I am using Pegasus 4.63 on a pc desktop running Win 7 32 bit.  I had a problem with my email and had to change my password.  I have done that and it worked fine.  Now I am getting messages regularly but sending is different.  I get an immediate "delivery failure" message and my message queued listing is empty, but the message seems to be finally delivered several hours later.  Any suggestions?  I have double checked the passwords in pop3 and smtp and they are the same.  Help!!

How many identities do you have in your sending list?  Under Tools, Internet Options, Sending.  You should have only one.
