Weird stuff going on with sent messages in copies to self

Nice one! That fixed it.

Thanks again :)

<P>Nice one! That fixed it.</P> <P>Thanks again :)</P>

Here's a strange one

Setup: Pegasus Mail is installed on a central server and the program is accessed via desktop links.

One of our members of staff was off work on maternity leave for six months. During that time her email was being accessed by her replacement who worked on the same computer. The replacement also had their own email address. During the period of maternity leave I set up links to both accounts (the person on maternity leave and the replacement's) using the -i <account name> and -ms switches so that both accounts could be open at the same time. This worked fine.

The person on maternity leave has returned to work and is now working on a different computer. When she send messages the sender's address is correct when it is delivered to the recipient. However, when she looks at the message in copies to self the sender's address is that of the person who stood in for her (and who continues to work with us).

Here's part of the raw view:

X-cs: R
X-CS-Version: 1.0
From: Person who was on maternity leave <replacement@domain.org>
X-RS-ID: <Default>

When the message in copies to self is opened the headers shown at the top of the message window show the following:

<dir><p></p><dir><p></p><dir><p></p><dir><font size="2"> <p></p><p align="left">From: "person who was on maternity leave" &lt;</p></font><a href="mailto:replacement@domain.org" mce_href="mailto:replacement@lincsheritage.org"><u><font color="#008000" size="2"><font color="#008000" size="2">replacement@domain.org</font></font></u></a><font size="2">&gt;</font> </dir></dir></dir></dir>

Any ideas what could cause this? Is there something I've configured which I need to change? I don't understand why the delivered messages contain the correct sender's address, but the messages contained in her copies to self folder have the replacement's address.

Thanks!

Search the user's Pmail.ini for that address.

Thanks, Paul!

I did that and found:

Internet E-mail Address                   = replacement@domain.org

I've changed it to the correct address. She's away at the moment but I'll post back after she returns and we've tested it.
