I have set up Pegasus to handle my gmail account. I have what I thought were the write settings, but I cannot receive any mail. I can send just fine. Am I missing something?

Here's what I have configured for my gmail POP3 host:

General Tab:

Host:  pop.gmail.com

Port: 997

Your gmail login credentials

Security Tab:

Via direct SSL

I have certificate fingerprint tracking enabled but don't think that is necessary

You did "Enable POP Download" via Gmail web interface settings in "Forwarding and POP/IMAP"?

Hopefully Port 995

Oops.  My brain shuffled 587 and 995.  Sorry Wayne.  Hope you didn't spend too much time trying 997.
