I am running Mozilla Thunderbird 24.2.0 on Windows 7 and  on Windows XP. I have been using Thunderbird since they killed Eudora which I had been using since the mid '90s. Needless to say, many, many mailboxes, filters, addresses....

I am beyond disappointed with Mozilla's shoddy work and never-ending updates which cause more issues than they solve. At the recommendation of a friend who has been using Pegasus for many years and speaks glowingly of it, I just installed it on my Windows XP machine.

Do you know of any way to import the Thunderbird data into Pegasus? The only info I can find so far on the forums is very, very dated discussing version 1.0.2 or thereabouts.

Thank you in advance for any advice or suggestions.

Thunderbird uses Folders in MBX-Format. So copy the folderfiles (where the Mails are in) to your Pegasus mailboxdirectory, rename them adding the extension mbx to the filenames and start Pegasus. The Folders should show up and you may move the mails to newly created folders or a hierarchie of folders in Pegasus' folderformat. Remember that Pegasus at the moment does not support mails in trays ... only in folders.

If you have your mails via IMAP on the server of your provider, you don't need to migrate the folders that way ... simply connect to the IMAP-Server.

Perfect, thank you. Copying folder files and adding mbx extension is the solution I needed.

Is there any chance that there is an equally efficient solution for importing mail filters and address books?

This might help with the address books:
