In recent versions of Windows Microsoft as a security measure has moved services to the hidden session 0, that normally can't be interacted with from Explorer. This means you will need to run Mercury in program mode when making settings or viewing protocol consoles.

Mercury v5 will address this problem by providing a separate user interface that can be run in parallel with the service to access the console.
