Users in New Zealand will have heard of the Telecom NZ requirement that Pegasus be set up to use SSL. This is because Telecom does not run its own e-mail system but instead gets Yahoo to do it and Yahoo has severe security problems.
I have downloaded and saved David Harris's instructions for Pegasus v 4.41, and they worked fine on my temporary machine (XP) and another Pegasus version.
This time I am trying to get David's instructions to work on my partner's machine under Windows 7 Premium ( = basic) edition.
For both Pegasus V 4.41, AND the latest version, I can RECEIVE mail using the SSL set-up, but cannot send it as Telecom refuses. Wrong protocol or something.
I double-checked that I did everything correctly.
Please advise. Brian
