Please add a line Wantcss=no  in Bearhtml.ini which should stop this stuff from appearing.
I added wantcss=no to the file, and then noticed it was there twice - I guess it was there all along.  I removed the duplicate and changed the remaining to wantcss=yes which stopped it from appearing.

Thanks

Hello

I have Pegasus 4.63 installed on a windows server in multi-user mode.  Normally a windows client runs the Pegasus executable where it's installed on a shared network drive and identifies themselves with their username (via a command line argument).  I'm currently trying to do the same from a linux client, but not matter what username I supply the following message displays:

"The user you are attempting to 'become' (<insert username here>) does not exist on this system."

I could use some pointers to troubleshoot this.

Thanks

Stuzz

For those playing at home, I needed to run winecfg and map the location Linux sees the network location as, to the drive letter that Windows/Pegasus sees the location as (P: in my case).  Now I can get in as a user, but currently the Pegasus window fails to fully display (mainly the toolbar) and the whole program is completely unresponsive.  I'll keep plugging away to try and fix that now - feel free to chime in you have a suggestion.

OK...  seems this thread was the answer for the no-toolbar/unresponsive issue - https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31151

As per the last post, I disabled ierenderer.dll in winecfg.  I do get a warning message about not finding ierenderer, but the program starts and works successfully.  I guess I look into getting rid of that warning sometime, but for now I'll go sort out some emails.

I just deleted IERenderer.fff, and don't get any warnings. I don't think deleting this file does any harm, but I'm sure Michael (the developer of IERenderer) can tell us for certain.

I presume that without IERenderer being active, that you have fallen back to using Bearhtml instead. You didn't mention whether you are seeing html message graphics as expected. I have not heard anything negative about Bearhtml in the Wine environment, so please confirm either way.

Well, you could have renamed it. And for the records: This is a WINE bug since it doesn't seem to fully support IE and its system libraries. Furthermore the WINE guys told me to not even figure out a workaround because they are supposed to fix such issues ...

At this stage I'm only trialling a Linux computer on a Windows network to see what's what.  Deleting files that another ~30 computers use isn't plan A :)   But, it could certainly be a plan B since...

... I'm seeing html message graphics as expected.

EDIT:  IERenderer.fff renamed and all is well - html messages display fine and no error message.  I now see that this isn't a critical file so modifying it seems to be a perfectly safe option.

Just one more minor thing on this topic...

If the IERenderer.fff file is deleted/renamed, or more simply if IERenderer is disabled within Pegasus I see the attached (or variation thereof) at the beginning of some emails(windows or linux).  Sometimes there's more code, sometimes there's less.  This is seen in an email via the message preview or the full viewer.  However, if using the full viewer and you view the plain text or html text attachments of the email, the code is not shown.  Nor is it in the raw view.

PS.  This just looks like plain text, but for some odd reason I couldn't paste it into this message (I think due to my browser)

The screenshot contains CSS coding, which is not supposed to appear. Please add a line Wantcss=no  in Bearhtml.ini which should stop

this stuff from appearing. It is caused by CSS Style definitions being coded in the Body of an html stream.
