AW: -ERR [SYS/TEMP] internal server error (#IS6532)

"caisson,"

You are so RIGHT about many another having the same issue. They all seem to think it may have to do with their email client or AT&T which is not the case. It is an internal server error from Yahoo! that is having issues with matching their email addy and the password which to me means it is not connecting to the correct server to find the password that goes with the email addy. I have had this issue since about 2010 and have talked with AT&T even elevating to Tier 2 and they are CLUELESS!

I have three (3) email accounts and at one time or another they each have been rejected for POP3ing my incoming mail, it has NOTHING to do with outgoing mail only the inbound. If they would just wait about 10 to 20 seconds and check mail again they will get a different server and download their mail. That is what I have been doing and not any problem just a short delay.

When I managed to get hold of Yahoo! to see what could be done, they told me it was AT&T's problem, WRONG, my email client tells me it is a server at Yahoo! as a matter of fact here are the servers that are doing this to us:

 pop219.sbc.mail.gq1.yahoo.com, pop336.sbc.mail.gq1.yahoo.com, pop334.sbc.mail.gq1.yahoo.com, pop333.sbc.mail.gq1.yahoo.com

If any one can get this information to Yahoo! maybe we can have some results.

I keep getting error messages at irregular times with a window from Pegasus Mail v4.7.0 and earlier versions. My ISP keeps telling me it has to do with my email client and they do not support clients only WebMail (BARF).

This is a copy of the latest one:

I have three(3) email addies and in the last five(5) days there have been nine(9) such error messages with two(2) today. Have told them this has to do with Yahoo! and they tell me to call Yahoo!, have done that and they 'pass-the-buck' back to my ISP. Does anyone have a special number that can be used to get to Yahoo! to get this solved? This has gone on for about 3-4 years without any HELP.

Hi NTxLS [:)]

It is a Yahoo server error for years.....

Sometimes comes with the POP3 error message too, that I should it later try again .. And indeed, a few seconds later, the POP3 porblem is gone......

I have no phone number from Yahoo. But it has nothing to do with Pmail, other mail cient programs are affected as well. The error is only from time to time and rather rare. I do not think you have a chance that Yahoo eliminate its server errors ....

But of cause, you con try it....

Peg,

Have been aware that it is a YAHOO! issue and have been in chat sessions with my ISP asking them to forward the data to Yahoo! They tell me they are only trained to handle basic problems and then they finally elevate it to the Tier 2 level where they give the same reply but will not elevate to the next level. Most sessions last about 1.5 - 2 hours with no HELP what-so-ever. They seem to be clue-lessless HELP.

Have been trying to find someone that has similar issues and you are the very first to come to my rescue, a very LARGE THANK YOU for this reply. Was beginning to think I am 'the only one,' like my Daughter loves Tigger, 'the only one.'

You will find countless others with the same problem if you search the web.

Unfortunately none has found a solution.
